Managing secrets

Secrets store the credentials your jobs need, such as API keys for third-party services. They are managed in Management > Secrets.

Creating a secret

1. Go to Management > Secrets and click New secret.
2. Enter its name. Names cannot contain spaces or curly brackets. This is the name you will use to inject the secret, with ${secrets.secretName}.
3. Enter its value and, optionally, a description.
4. Choose a project to make it a project secret, or All Projects to make it a global secret. A project secret overrides a global secret with the same name.
5. Click Create.

A secret's value is encrypted and is never shown again, not even to administrators. It is only decrypted right before being given to a job. To change a value, delete the secret and create it again.

Deleting secrets

Select the secrets and click Delete. Jobs and subscriptions that use them will no longer receive their value.
